Adrian Rees - Board Secretary

Adrian Rees is a senior executive at the Australian Prudential Regulation Authority (APRA) where he currently supervises superannuation trustees and funds.

Adrian has significant experience in risk management, governance and finance developed over a 40 year career in the financial services industry. He also has served on a number of not-for-profit boards.

Adrian brings this wealth of experience to his role on The Family Co. Board.

The Family Co. provides the leading Domestic Violence Support Services program in the Sutherland Shire, offering a comprehensive range of support from crisis support, safety planning, court support, case management, therapeutic programs and specialised support groups. People can self refer or be referred by a health specialist.

Rhett Kentwell - Board Member

Rhett joined The Family Co. Board in April 2022. He holds a Master’s Degree in Commerce and a Bachelor of Nursing, and is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. As a former CEO and experienced executive manager, Rhett has a specific interest in business strategy with financial sustainability and stakeholder engagement.
Ben Wood - Treasurer

Ben Wood has been Treasurer of The Family Co. for the last 7 years. He brings a deep knowledge of accounting, cash flow and general business operations, and a passion for technology and it’s use to create efficiency within organisations.
Belinda Fairfax - Chairperson

Belinda Fairfax joined the board in 2018, and was appointed as our Chairperson in late 2021. She brings an expertise in Human Resources to the Board. Prior to joining the Board, Belinda has worked with The Family Co. in a voluntary capacity for three years, helping clients with career planning and interview skills.

Each term, we publish a calendar of events for programs we offer. This includes our Parenting Support Programs, Early Childhood and Educational Support Programs and Domestic Violence Support Programs.

Learning about Australian Animals sparks joy in Djanaba kids

Last week the Djanaba Occasional Care team integrated a learning unit on Australian Animals, with the children showing great interest in the varied activities from reading, to art, to games, that helped them learn all about koalas, kangaroos, and other native fauna.
Southern Sydney Women's Domestic Violence Court Advocacy Service

The Southern Sydney Women's Domestic Violence Court Advocacy Service (SSWDVCAS) provides information, advocacy and referrals for women and families attending Sutherland and Kogarah Local Courts for Apprehended Domestic Violence Orders.
