Having a baby at any age changes your life, but being a young parent can come with extra challenges (and rewards!)

Babies might not come with instruction books, but there are lots of tips we can share that will help support you to have a great connection with your baby. The “Baby & Me” Parenting Support Group for Young Parents in the Sutherland Shire & St.George area is a great way to meet others while learning lots about babies!

Who’s eligible?

If you are a young mum, who is either pregnant or has a baby (under 6 months of age), and want to connect with other young parents, while learning everything you can about knowing, growing and bonding with your baby, then you’re invited to join us for a FREE 4 week “Baby & Me” Parenting Support Group. Mum’s are also welcome to bring along their partner or a support person.

What you’ll learn

At this Parenting Support Group, we’ll cover a range of topics including:

  • Looking after you (so you can look after your baby)
  • Understanding early attachment and responding to infant cues and needs
  • Support to get to know, grow and connect with your baby
  • How babies learn and the importance of play

When it’s on

The Term 3 (2021) Baby & Me Group commences on Wednesday, 18th August, 2021, and runs weekly, every Wednesday for 4 weeks. When you join the group, you are committing to join us every Wednesday from 11:00am – 1:00pm for the 4-week program, (which will finish on 8th September 2021).

Want to join us?

If you’re pregnant or have a young baby and would like to be part of this group, call The Family Co. Youth Services team on (02) 9548 2734 to book your spot.   Places are limited, and we keep the group small so everybody gets a chance to really talk, share and get to know each other.

Reserve your Spot in the Group starting in August
