Domestic and Family Violence Awareness & Prevention Month is held each May to raise community awareness of the social and personal impacts of domestic and family violence and the support available to those affected. In conjunction with the Sutherland Shire Domestic Violence Committee, we are sharing the Sutherland Shire Domestic Violence Information Booklet to help Shire residents know where to go to get help. Giggle & Grow is a free weekly playgroup for Mums & Bubs up to 18 months months at Yarrawarrah Community Hall. This is a supported playgroup, led by an experienced parenting facilitator. Read more
Creative Hearts and Mind Art Classes are for kids aged 5-12, allowing them to express themselves while trying lots of different art making practices. This is a 6 week program, runs on Mondays from 3:45-4:45pm at our Jannali location. The cost of this program is $120 per term. This program will be about learning how to parent in ways that support building resilience in children – we will use ideas from neuroscience to understand where challenging behaviour is coming from and look at how we can respond to children in ways that support wellbeing, self confidence and resilience.
