A domestic violence caseworker understands the intricacies of domestic and family violence and is well equipped to provide additional support to any woman who is impacted by domestic violence. They work 1 on 1 with women who have been impacted by domestic violence to provide short term crisis support, can assist with safety planning, access to safe housing, Centrelink and Victims Services supports amongst other needs. Love Bites is a school based domestic and family violence, sexual assault and consent awareness education program, targeted at Year 10 students This program is run in local high schools by trained facilitators. Read more
Staying Home Leaving Violence is a specialised domestic and family violence program covering the Sutherland Shire to assist women and their children who have separated from a violence partners or family member. The program aims to improve outcomes for women and children by supporting them stay in their own home safely where possible, or relocate to safe accommodation and live free from violence. Read more
