Healing Connections is a 6-week parenting program specifically designed for mother's post Domestic Violence. Learn about the effects of trauma on children and how to foster healing through safe, secure connections.

Healing Connections: Rebuilding Bonds After Domestic & Family Violence

The Healing Connections program is a research-backed, evidence-based initiative led by The Family Co.'s Therapeutic Domestic and Family Violence Services Team. Healing Connections is designed to support parents and caregivers in navigating the impact of Domestic and Family Violence (DFV) on their relationship with their children.

What's On Offer:
A safe and nurturing space to explore the complexities of how DFV affects parent-child connections.
Practical skills, knowledge, and strategies to foster long-term healing for both parents and children.
Guidance on building secure attachments, helping children feel safe, loved, and understood.
A deeper understanding of trauma’s impact on children - why they react the way they do, and how caregivers can support their emotional and behavioural healing.

By strengthening the parent-child bond, this program empowers families to heal together, creating a foundation for a hopeful, resilient future.
