Wrapping Up Our Christmas Campaign: Thank You for Making a Difference

As we reflect on the festive season, we are filled with gratitude for the incredible generosity and support shown throughout our 2024 Christmas Campaign. Our goal was ambitious: to raise $100,000 to hire an additional case worker for our Child, Youth, and Family Team. While we didn’t quite reach that target, your contributions made a meaningful impact in ways that truly matter.

What We Achieved Together

This Christmas, thanks to the kindness of our community, we raised just over $7,500. These funds allowed us to provide essential support to over 160 families, ensuring they received food hampers filled with holiday essentials and hand-picked gifts for children. For many families facing hardship, these gestures brought moments of joy and relief during what can be a particularly difficult time of year.

The impact goes beyond the numbers. Each gift delivered, each hamper packed, and each connection made is a reminder that our community stands together to lift up those in need. It’s a testament to the power of collective kindness and the belief that every family deserves a safe and joyful holiday season.

The Road Ahead: Hope for 2025

While we didn’t reach our financial goal, we remain hopeful and determined to achieve it in 2025. The need for an additional case worker is urgent. Families in the Sutherland Shire are facing wait times of up to 8 weeks for support. Behind those waitlists are real people — parents, children, and young people navigating challenging situations without the immediate help they need.

An additional case worker would allow us to:

  • Support 200+ more families each year

  • Eliminate waitlists, ensuring timely help for those in crisis

  • Respond to urgent referrals without delay

Your continued support can make this a reality. Whether through donations, partnerships, or volunteering, every effort brings us closer to expanding our services and reaching more families in need.

Gratitude for Our Community This campaign wouldn’t have been possible without the generosity of our incredible supporters. From individual donors to local businesses, volunteers, and everyone who helped spread the word — thank you. Your kindness has brought hope and relief to families facing adversity.

We are especially grateful to those who went above and beyond by providing gifts for children. Over 160 hand-picked presents were delivered to young ones, making their Christmas morning brighter and more joyful. It’s these small moments that create lasting memories and remind us all of the power of community care.

Looking to 2025: How You Can Help As we move into 2025, we’re more committed than ever to our mission of creating safe, positive communities where women, children, youth, and families can thrive. We’d love for you to continue this journey with us. Here’s how you can get involved:

  • Donate: Every dollar counts and brings us closer to hiring a new case worker.

Thank you for being part of our community and believing in a future where all families feel safe, supported, and empowered. Here’s to a bigger and brighter 2025 — let’s make it a year of growth, hope, and transformation for those who need it most.

With heartfelt gratitude,
