Looking for a safe and welcoming space where your teen can connect, recharge, and find support? The Family Co.’s Social Space is back for Term 1, 2025, offering a free, fun, and inclusive environment for high school students in the Sutherland Shire.

What is Social Space?
Social Space is a monthly drop-in program designed to give young people a relaxed and supportive place to hang out after school. Hosted by The Family Co.’s Youth Services team, Social Space provides a welcoming setting where teens can meet new friends, engage in activities, and access support from experienced youth workers. Whether they want to unwind, chat, or get involved in community initiatives, this is the perfect space to do so.

When & Where?
Social Space runs on the last Thursday of every month during the school term at The Family Co. Youth Centre (90 Soldiers Road, Jannali) from 2.30 - 4.30pm. Occasionally, we take Social Space to other locations across the Sutherland Shire, so be sure to follow us on social media to stay updated on pop-up events and outreach activities.

Who Can Attend?
All high school students in the Sutherland Shire are welcome to attend. The Family Co.’s Youth Services team works hard to ensure a safe, friendly, and inclusive environment where every young person feels a sense of belonging.

Do I Need to Register?
No registration, sign-up, or payment is required—just show up and enjoy! All Social Space activities and events are completely FREE.
