Djanaba closed until 14th January and taking bookings for 2020.

As 2019 comes to a close, we're taking a short break over the Christmas/ New Year period to recharge the batteries and spend quality time with our families and loved ones.

We will be closing from Friday 20th December and will reopen on Tuesday 14th January 2020 at 8am.

We're excited to share our program with the children upon our return and have some wonderful activities planned for them!

As always, Djanaba offers high quality care on both an occasional and permanent basis. We are open Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 8am to 4pm. We offer a play-based learning environment, with programming based on children's interests. Our educators are highly qualified and offer a nurturing environment.

We are now taking enrolments and bookings for 2020. Please email [email protected] with any questions. Please note that as we are away from the office at the moment, we will not be able to reply until after 6th January 2020.

If you are a new family, you might like to start completing the paperwork - an application form is required.

The Family Co. is offering an abridged version of the popular Tuning in to Teens program. This 4-week parent education workshop series helps parents of tweens/teens aged 10-18 years reduce conflict, increase communication, and recognise, understand and respond to their teenager's emotions as well as their own. Circle of Security for First Nations Families

The Circle of Security Parenting program is an 7 week parenting course, offered FREE by The Family Co and Lilli Pilli Counselling. The course is held each Thursday from 16th May - 27th June from 10am - 12:00pm at South Sydney PTS. This is specifically for you if you identify as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander or have children that identify as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander.

Today we celebrated, Jann Griffiths, our Djanaba Occasional Care Centre Director for her 30 years of service to SSFS, with a team morning tea. This was a wonderful opportunity to thank Jann for caring for and brightening the lives of more than a thousand children during this time.

Last week the Djanaba Occasional Care team integrated a learning unit on Australian Animals, with the children showing great interest in the varied activities from reading, to art, to games, that helped them learn all about koalas, kangaroos, and other native fauna.

Volunteer

Volunteering is a great way to help us! We're a lean and specialised team, and while we don't allow volunteers in client facing capacities, we are very grateful to have volunteers who can assist with admin, marketing and events. If you're interested, we'd love to hear from you!
