With the World Health Organisation this week categorising COVID-19 (otherwise known as the Corona Virus) as a Global Pandemic, it is hard to not be concerned about what is going on, and we appreciate that some people are quite anxious about the situation.

As at today's date (Friday 13th March), there are no interruptions to SSFS programs or services as a result of the Corona Virus. We are reviewing the situation daily and following Government advice about service cancellation. We are keeping our staff updated, and have provided additional guidelines to them about their already high standard of Workplace Health & Hygiene.

We are undertaking additional cleaning of our facilities, have disinfectant surface spray and hand sanitiser in all locations, and encouraging all staff to remain at home at any sign of illness and seek early medical assistance. At this time, all staff on premises are presenting as healthy. All staff and clients are encouraged to have good hand hygiene, washing their hands regularly with soap and water (for at least 20 seconds at a time), covering their face when coughing or sneezing and safely disposing of tissues etc. These are all practices we encourage at all times, although this situation is a timely reminder for people to "step up" their own level of care.

We'd also like to share the following information from the World Health Organisation about how you can manage your own stress at this time, and also help children in your care.

We will provide further updates if the situation changes. If you have a specific question or concern, we encourage you to interact with us via social media, or call us on (02) 9528 2933.
