Breaking Barriers to Healthcare

The Family Co. is proud to announce an exciting new initiative designed to break down barriers to healthcare for our clients. In partnership with Kirrawee Family Medical Practice (KFMP), we are now offering bulk-billed, in-house GP services at our centre every Tuesday, starting 8th April. This initiative ensures that those in need can access quality medical care in a safe, familiar, and supportive environment. 

Access to healthcare is a fundamental right, yet many individuals and families face obstacles that make seeing a doctor difficult. Financial constraints, lack of transportation, and concerns about safety or unfamiliar medical environments often prevent people from getting the care they need. By bringing healthcare services directly into our centre, The Family Co. is removing these barriers and ensuring that our clients can receive essential medical support without added stress.

A Holistic Approach to Healthcare

The new in-house GP service provides comprehensive medical support, covering:

• General consultations

• Health assessments and preventative care

• Medical investigations

• Prescriptions and referrals

• Chronic disease management

• Sexual health education and care

• Mental health care plans and more

This initiative aligns with our ongoing mission to support vulnerable individuals and families, ensuring that health and wellbeing remain a priority. The service is currently available to existing clients of The Family Co., with bookings facilitated through caseworkers. For individuals who are not yet clients but require support, completing a referral form is the first step toward accessing our services.
