Sarah Lamb - Board Member

Sarah Lamb joined The Family Co Board in 2025. Sarah is the Chief Operating Officer at Southern Waters Legal, where she leads firm-wide operations with a focus on efficiency, growth, and technology. Formerly CEO of SP Screens, she has extensive experience in scaling businesses and building strong teams. A passionate advocate for community impact, Sarah co-hosted the Women Supporting Women event, raising over $100,000 for The Family Co. in 2025. She brings her strategic and operational expertise to the Board to help strengthen governance and expand the organisation’s vital support services.

Tuning into Teens (Term 3 2026) (Sutherland Shire & Georges River Residents Only)

The Family Co. is offering an abridged version of the popular Tuning in to Teens program. This 4-week parent education workshop series helps parents of tweens/teens aged 10-18 years reduce conflict, increase communication, and recognise, understand and respond to their teenager's emotions as well as their own. The group starts on Wednesday 2nd September 2026 from 10:30am - 12:30pm. Please note this program is for SUTHERLAND SHIRE & GEORGES RIVER RESIDENTS ONLY
Pathway of Change Term 3, 2026

This free, 5-week education and support group is designed to provide a safe and nurturing space for women to understand the complexity of Domestic Violence and reduce the social isolation of their experience. Through the lived and shared experiences of women and their children, the group allows women to build on their strengths to keep themselves and their children safe.
Healing Connections Term 3, 2026

The Healing Connections program is a research-backed, evidence-based initiative led by The Family Co.s Therapeutic Domestic and Family Violence Services Team. Healing Connections is designed to support parents and caregivers in navigating the impact of Domestic and Family Violence (DFV) on their relationship with their children.
The Family Co. Better Futures Ball

The Better Futures Ball is The Family Co.'s biggest night of the year. A formal/black tie celebration bringing together our community, our partners and the people who make our work possible. All profits from the night go directly to the wraparound, trauma-informed support that helps families build safer homes, stronger connections and brighter futures.

Colin Cuthbert - Board Member

Colin Cuthbert joined The Family Co Board in 2025. Colin is an accomplished entrepreneur and business leader who has built, scaled, and successfully sold businesses. Today, as a Professional EOS Implementer®, Colin partners with business owners and leadership teams to foster clarity, discipline, and accountability, enabling them to scale while staying true to their values.
Stephanie Famolaro - Board Member

Stephanie Famolaro joined The Family Co. board in 2023. Stephanie has over 15 years of experience in the marketing industry and is a leading voice in advertising, regularly speaking on topics ranging from data and technology to the future of digital advertising. Stephanie holds an Executive Master of Business Administration degree from the Sydney Business School and is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
Andrea Brown - Board Member

Andrea Brown joined The Family Co Board in 2023. Andrea holds a degree in Business Management and is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. Working in Banking and Financial Services, over the last 25 years, she is experienced in developing and operationalising Strategy, embedding Transformation, Wealth Management and Regulatory Change Programs.
Belinda Kendrigan - Treasurer

Belinda joined the Board in 2022 and became Treasurer in 2023. She graduated with a bachelor's degree in business and obtained her chartered accountant qualifications in 2001. Belinda's career spans over two decades including 11 years at KPMG and a further 11 years in finance executive roles. She brings to the Board her skills in financial strategy, sustainable growth and risk management.
Rhett Kentwell - Secretary

Rhett Kentwell joined The Family Co. Board in April 2022 and took over the role of Secretary in October 2023. He is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, holds a Master’s Degree in Commerce and a Bachelor of Nursing. As a current CEO, Rhett has specific interest in business strategy with financial sustainability and stakeholder engagement. He has previously served as the CEO Vitala Health, CEO of Alliance Health and COO of Global Orthopaedic Technology.
Belinda Fairfax - Chairperson

Belinda Fairfax joined the Board in October 2019. Belinda holds a BA in Psychology and Economics, and Level 2 Coaching Certification from the Institute of Executive Coaching Australia. As a HR Specialist and Business Coach, she brings to the Board a range of people and culture skills including leadership, strategy, performance and stakeholder management, business partnership, coaching, facilitation, and collaboration skills.

The Day After

The Day After is about the quiet moment after support arrives: when a woman feels safe at home, a child sleeps soundly, and life slowly starts to look like itself again. Your gift helps fund both the practical care a family needs and the work that makes it possible, helping more people across Southern Sydney move from surviving to thriving.

Volunteer

Volunteering is a great way to help us! We're a lean and specialised team, and while we don't allow volunteers in client facing capacities, we are very grateful to have volunteers who can assist with admin, marketing and events. If you're interested, we'd love to hear from you!

Youth Programs & Services

The Family Co. Youth Services offer information, support and programs for young people, schools and families. Our experienced staff aim to support young people to strengthen and foster relationships and develop resilience and life skills. We offer a range of programs and services that help young people become self-aware, understand and explore their potential, and be present and connected in their community.
Play and Connect

Play and Connect is a free playgroup for families with children aged 0-5, and operates every Tuesday morning at The Family Co. centre in Jannali, and every Thursday morning at The Family Co. Hurstville during school terms. This supportive group provides opportunity for families to connect with their child and other families through fun, interactive activities, sensory play and art.
Southern Sydney Women's Domestic Violence Court Advocacy Service

The Southern Sydney Women's Domestic Violence Court Advocacy Service (SSWDVCAS) provides information, advocacy and referrals for women and families attending Sutherland and Kogarah Local Courts for Apprehended Domestic Violence Orders.
