Sutherland Shire Domestic Violence Committee

Zonta Botany Bay is marking the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women on Monday 25th November, 2021,  and the 16 Days of Activism following - ending on 10th December, by displaying 'Zonta Says No to Violence against Women' posters on the back of toilet doors in Council facilities (libraries and community) and some shopping centres across the Sutherland Shire LGA.

The Sutherland Shire Domestic Violence Committee is pleased to be able to support this campaign, by providing access to our Service Directory should any local women need assistance. This can be accessed via our website, which people can be directed to via the QR Code on the poster.

Violence against women is a significant problem, with occurrence and impacts well documented, both locally and on an international stage. Members of the Zonta Club of Botany Bay work to empower women, through selected service projects and political advocacy. This cause is one they feel strongly towards, and the efforts and resources of the group are being directed to make an impact.
