Hello, I’m James, and I’m proud to serve as the Child, Youth, & Family Team Leader at The Family Co. My journey with this remarkable organisation began during my Social Work Placement at what was then known as Sutherland Shire Family Services. Working at the EDYS Youth Centre in Engadine, I found my passion for supporting young people in our community.

Before joining The Family Co., I dedicated several years to working with children in Out-Of-Home-Care, commonly referred to as Foster Care. These experiences deeply shaped my commitment to advocating for and empowering young people. I was fortunate to grow up in an environment where respect and support were constants, and I quickly recognised that not everyone has access to such positive influences. This realisation drives my work today - guiding young people through their growth and learning, and helping them navigate the challenges they face.

In my role, I’m honoured to work alongside an incredible team, dedicated to making a meaningful difference in the lives of children, youth, and families. Every day, I strive to provide the same respect and support to others that I was fortunate to receive.

Outside of work, you can catch me on the slopes as an avid skier and snowboarder.
