Kim leads our dynamic and experienced Child, Youth and Family team at The Family Co, providing a holistic, trauma informed approach to support clients through individual case work, group programs, activities and events.

Kim holds a Bachelor of Social Work, and a Diploma in Meditation Therapy and Holistic Counselling. She has worked for The Family Co. for 6 years, and during that time has introduced many wonderful programs, supporting her staff to do the important work of helping support children, young people and families in our community. As well as looking after The Family Co. Child Youth and Family team, Kim is responsible for overseeing group programs (including parenting and education/skills programs), playgroups, schools and community programs, the Defence Family Support program, outreach and social space, and other services and events.

Kim enjoys working with a creative and passionate team, and works hard to advocate and support children, young people, families and the community, to create services and programs to support needs that are identified.

What I love most about my job is working with a creative team that are passionate about supporting children, young people and families to grow, and overcome the barriers that they are facing. The Family Co. provides a safe space for all families to access and receive quality and engaging activities and support. My job is different every single day, and the interaction with the families, organisations, and community members that I get to meet make the job rewarding.
