Amber Schacht - Youth Programs Coordinator Amber Schacht is our Youth Programs Coordinator at The Family Co, working with an experienced team of Youth and Family Specialists to deliver quality programs to young people and their families in the Sutherland Shire, both in schools and community. The Youth and Family team at The Family Co. provides a safe space that encourages self-expression and self-exploration for young people to develop their skills and creativity, and explore their identity. It provides support for young people and their families through programs, workshops and one-on-one case management. A former High School teacher, Amber holds a Bachelor Criminology and Linguistics and Masters Degree in Development Studies from UNSW. She has worked with The Family Co. for 10+ years in various roles including Love Bites Coordinator, Toolbox Talks Facilitator, Youth and Family Team Leader (Acting) and Operations Manager (Acting). She is passionate about the important work of helping support young people in our community. Amber works with young people to understand what is happening for them, their families and their community, in order to create services and programs to support identified needs. She leads the co-development of new and innovative programs backed by current research to meet these needs. Amber is inspired by working with the a team who’s main priority is supporting and empowering the next generation.
